Entry from: Ipoh, Malaysia Entry Title: "Tong Cave Temple, Ipoh, Perak" Entry: "The schedule for the day was very hectic. Woke up at 8.00 am and then went for breakfast at 0900 am. After which, had a quick breakfast and attended the meeting. The meeting was over at 1230. Checked out of the hotel at 1300 and straight went to refuel my car. Along the way, decided to drop by at the famous Tong Cave Temple in Ipoh. One of the famous cave temples here. This temple was built in 1926 inside a cave which consists of a temple structure and a crematorium as well at the back. Not many know about the crematorium available here. The main deity is Kwan Yin or Avalokiteswara and this is based on Chinese Buddhism. There is also a altar for Lord Buddha here. Hope the pictures would tell more about the place but the true beauty of the place is only visible when you personally visit the temple. I hope in future, I could do a full blog on the cave temples of Ipoh which mainly cover Taoist, Buddhist and Hindu Temples. After visiting this place for about 1 hour, I left for Kuala Lumpur as the weather was too hot in itself."
